Method 1: Wash Your Bed Sheets with Baking Soda/ Vinegar
A classic trick that we’re sure will sound familiar. These two ingredients can make any ordinary set of sheets feel like luxury silk bedding! This will require, 1 cup of baking soda, ½ a cup of vinegar, and the sheets themselves, all washed within a single cycle (make sure to LEAVE OUT the laundry detergent). If you want to experience better results, you can try starting the wash on hot water then changing it to cold water once it enters the rinse cycle.
Method 2: Wash Your Bed Sheets with Epsom Salts
This method allows you to make your bed sheets silky soft without having to use the washing machine. If you have a bathtub, fill it with cold water as well as 50 grams of Epsom salt, then after placing the sheets in the mixture, stir the salted water with a wooden spoon. Leave the sheets to soak overnight, then in the morning, rinse them and leave them outside to dry.

Method 3: Wash Your Bed Sheets with Turpentine
Adding ½ a cup of Turpentine to your regular cycle can also soften your sheets. If you use this method however DO NOT use the dryer and instead hang it out to dry, as Turpentine is combustible and may start a fire this way. Plus, it is a much more environmentally friendly method of drying your linens.

Method 4: Use Fabric Softener for Your Bed Sheets
As simple as it is, add the recommended amount of fabric softener to your wash cycle. This method feels obvious, but there’s a reason it wasn’t the first method we recommend on our list. Some fabrics are negatively affected by fabric softeners.
Method 5: Wash Your Bed Sheets
This isn’t the most efficient nor environmentally friendly method but washing your bed linens multiple times can also improve the softness of your bed linens. If you have good quality sheets, they will already get softer and STAY with every wash.
