Pioneer Linens has long been a proud vendor of Yves Delorme, a French home décor brand that has been selling bed sheets, bath towels, and other luxury linens for nearly two centuries. With how successful they are in France, it’s easy to see how they quickly grew a reputation here in the United States. As a partnering vendor of theirs, let us walk you through some of their history and why they are a great brand to consider adding to your home. Yves Delorme: History of the Brand (1845 - 2000)
Since it was founded in 1845 by Ernestine Fremaux and her husband, Yves Delorme has had a mission to provide excellence in every linen product they produce. It’s become such a giant in the business of luxury linens since then, that in modern day it has been recognized by the French government as an “Enterprise of Living Patrimony”, an honor only given to the highest quality manufacturers.
Later in 1875, the nephew of Ernestine Fremaux (Paul Fremaux) took over the company in her place. Decades after he took charge, Yves Delorme created its first spinning mill, which they named Filatures Fremaux. In the year 1915, René Fremaux (son of Paul Fremaux) took over because of the war, which later destroyed the original mill. Eventually the mill was rebuilt in 1942 by Francis Fremaux, René’s son.
In 1982, Yves Delorme launched its first collection of seasonal prints, followed by the creation of subsidiaries in the United States and Great Britain. A few years later, Dominique Fremaux became president of Yves Delorme. Finally in 1992, the first stores in the United States were created.
Yves Delorme: History of the Brand (2000 - Today)
From 2000 – 2015, Yves Delorme went from having 45 stores, to around 450. By the early 2020s, Yves Delorme began taking on more projects, such as moving more toward the use of organic cotton. To support this ecological endeavor, Yves later opened a factory in Nieppe in 2023 to reduce waste and transportation needed for their products.

Giving Back to Nature
As stated before, Yves Delorme has dedicated several resources toward reducing their environmental impact. It’s production studio in Nieppe doubles as an outlet store that offers “second choice” products and reducing 6% of the business’ total textile waste caused by transportation. The company’s efforts have earned it a 3-star Blue Standard certification by INGO, Oceanic Global, which acknowledges companies that sufficiently reduce their use of plastics and other carbon emissions.
Philanthropy of Yves Delorme
Yves Delorme has partnered with the Château de Chantilly in order to preserve and promote artistic heritage. This includes the restoration of the apartments of the Duke and Duchess of Aumale at the Château de Chantilly.
The company has also worked with Le Polo Club de la Domaine de Chantilly in their “Plant a Tree” operation, in which Yves Delorme financed the planting and continued care of 40 trees in one of their preserves.
